Pakistan has confirmed their agreement to play against India on October 14 in the ICC World Cup 2023: As per the latest updates, Pakistan has agreed to a change in their schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023.
The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan, originally planned for October 15 in Ahmedabad, will now take place on October 14. This modification was made after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reached an agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In addition to the rescheduling of the India game, Pakistan will also face Sri Lanka on October 10 in Hyderabad, rather than the initial date of October 12. This adjustment allows for a three-day gap before the crucial clash against India.
The decision to change the India-Pakistan match date was influenced by concerns regarding security deployment during the first day of the Navratri festival in Ahmedabad.
Following these changes, the ICC will soon release an updated schedule, as a few other matches involving different teams might also be rescheduled.
Pakistan’s revised schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023 is as follows:
- October 6: vs Netherlands in Hyderabad
- October 10: vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad
- October 14: vs India in Ahmedabad
- October 20: vs Australia in Bengaluru
- October 23: vs Afghanistan in Chennai
- October 27: vs South Africa in Chennai
- October 31: vs Bangladesh in Kolkata
- November 4: vs New Zealand in Bengaluru (Day match).
Cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting these thrilling encounters in the upcoming World Cup.
