As per the IPL regulations

• A team is granted two IPL team points upon winning a match, while the defeated team receives none. In the event of a draw or abandonment, each team is awarded a single point. If two teams are tied on points, the team with more victories is given a higher ranking.
• In the event of a tie in the number of victories, the superior team is determined by the IPL net run rate (NRR). The calculation of IPL NRR is based on the margin of victory or defeat of a team in every match.
• The initial Qualifier in the playoffs leads the victorious team to the championship round, whereas the defeated team proceeds to Qualifier 2.
• The third and fourth placed teams engage in an eliminator match, with the victor advancing to Qualifier 2 and the defeated team exiting the competition.
