The IPL Final marks the culmination of a complete cycle of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, spanning over a period of two months. The teams that initiated the league will also conclude it. The final match of the 16th edition of the league will witness a clash between defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The final match is scheduled for Sunday, May 28th, at the Narendra Modi International Stadium located in Ahmedabad.

The league champions will receive a substantial sum of INR 20 crores, while the second-place finishers will be awarded INR 13 crores.

The prize money will also be awarded to Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants based on their performance in the league. The aforementioned teams, including Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, successfully advanced to the playoffs and participated in a riveting Eliminator match.

The team Mumbai Indians, having qualified for the second round, shall receive a prize amount of INR 7 crores for their exceptional performance in the league. The team that has won five times managed to recover from a poor performance in the initial stages of the competition and successfully secured a spot in the playoffs. LSG was defeated in the eliminator, however, GT proved to be a formidable opponent in Qualifier 2.

Lucknow Super Giants will receive a sum of 6.5 crores upon qualifying for the playoffs. The team encountered a significant setback due to numerous injuries, resulting in the absence of their key players from the competition. Despite facing significant challenges, they persevered and ultimately qualified for the playoffs through determined effort. Mumbai Indians were not thumped in the eliminator.
