The Asian Games 2023 will be held in Hangzhou in September and October. The Asian Games added cricket as a sport in 2014, but the Indian team didn’t take part. However, this time around, India will be taking part.

The BCCI has confirmed that the India B team will compete in the competition while the main team prepares for the Asia Cup and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The governing body just approved the team’s participation in the continental event.

Due to the overlap with the Asia Cup and the World Cup, the BCCI has stated that they will send a second-string Indian team, while a full-strength Women’s team will be on the board for the tournament. With all the conjecture regarding the Indian squad for the Asian Games in 2023.

According to Sporstar, the BCCI will pick the Indian squad for the Asian Games 2023. With Rahul Dravid poised to be a member of the main team, rumours say that VVS Laxman will be the team’s coach. The men’s tournament starts on September 28, while the women’s competition starts on September 19.

In the latest update of the ICC Men’s Test Batting Ranking, Joe Root has dethroned Marnus Labuschagne to secure the No.1 position following an outstanding performance in the first Ashes Test match of 2023. Root’s remarkable display in the match, held at Edgbaston, showcased his batting prowess as he scored a century in the first innings with 118 runs and contributed 46 runs in the second innings. This exceptional performance has propelled him to the top spot in the ICC Test Batting Ranking.

Root’s proficiency is not limited to his batting skills alone. He also showcased his versatility by taking a wicket, which has earned him the sixth position in the ICC Test All-rounders Ranking.

The batter, aged 21, exhibited exceptional form by scoring 96 runs in a mere 47 balls, aided by 8 fours and 6 sixes. Sudharsan has scored his fourth half-century in the tournament, three of which were achieved this year. Two additional scores of fifty were registered against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. A player of young age was selected by GT during the IPL 2022 auction for a sum of Rs 20 lakh.

Sudharsan’s father achieved national recognition as an athlete, representing India at the South Asian Games in 1993. Meanwhile, Sudharsan’s mother excelled in volleyball at the state level.

The young cricketer began playing at an early age, and he gained notoriety after leading Alwarpet CC to victory in the 2019–20 Raja of Palayampatti Shield by scoring 635 runs.

He played his first T20 match for Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2021. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the left-handed hitter went on to make his List A debut. He was able to establish himself in the state team, and his dependable play won him a spot in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.He was the second-highest run scorer in the TNPL with 358 runs from 8 innings and a strike rate of 143.77; he was also crucial in advancing Lyca Koval Kings to the postseason.

He was chosen by GT in the IPL auction in 2022, and he played his first game against Punjab Kings. Sai Sudharsan is a 21-year-old Indian cricketer who is currently playing for the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is a right-handed batsman who bowls leg-breaks. Sudharsan has been in excellent form in the IPL this season, scoring 363 runs in 12 matches at an average of 30.25 and a strike rate of 137.75. He has also picked up four wickets.

Sudharsan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in 2021. He has since played four first-class matches, scoring 266 runs at an average of 66.50. He has also played six List A matches, scoring 350 runs at an average of 75.00.
